This energetic sixth grader is a brain with feet. He is athletic, very self-confident, and health-conscious (his favorite bubblegum is sugar free banana).
Caramel has a nose for adventure and a natural craving to solve mysteries. Because his friends also have skills in solving mysteries, he’s formed the Brain Squad. His new team will travel the globe, solving spooky mysteries everywhere.
He plans on becoming the world’s most famous detective when he grows up. Which, by the way he carries himself, could be any day now.
Earnest Todd

Age: 11
Earnie is Caramel’s best friend on the planet. He’d follow his pal Caramel through a toxic dump so they could solve the many mysteries they embark on.
When he is covering a story for the school paper, he is full of confidence and nothing can get in his way. That is, providing that the lights are on at the time.
Kayin McIntyre
Nickname: Mac
Height 4-2”

Age: 11
Born in Scotland, Kayin is an exchange student studying in Tanwood’s P.S. 41. He lives down the block from Earnie with a family called the Smiths.
Since the first day he met Caramel and Earnie, they have become instant friends. He joins them on an adventure to hunt a werewolf down, and had so much fun, he decided to become a junior detective as well.
Soon, he and the other Brain Squad team will go around the world, solving cool and spooky mysteries.
Sharktooth Williams
Nickname: Sharktooth
Height: 4-5”
Weight: 110 lbs
Eyes: Dark brown
Age: 12
A pit bull would have nightmares about this kid. Sharktooth thought the movie Jaws was a comedy. He is simply Tanwood’s number one bully. Period.
A high-tops wearing T-Rex with a voracious appetite to beat up the weak and small. And, like all animals, he has his favorite toy, Earnie Todd.
The only kink in his program to take over the school is Caramel Parks. This will become very apparent in upcoming adventures (even though they’re still not quite clear to Sharktooth himself).
Elizabeth Parks
Age: 38
Caramel’s mother, Elizabeth, is proud of her little detective. But she is saddened by how quickly he is growing up.
Because of his extreme intelligence, she feels she is missing just a little too much of the nurturing time a mother is supposed to have with her children. She sees her eleven year old boy jumping to forty-five years old in a matter of months.
Fortunately, she has her toddler daughter Tasha to keep her motherly attention occupied.

Caramel’s kid sister (hey, a spin-off series Kid Sister Private Toddler). Barely able to run without crashing into something, and hardly old enough to know anything at all, Tasha does know one thing: she wants to be a ‘tective too!
